Jim Aalberg

Jim Aalberg is a fourth-generation Oregonian on his mother’s side and the Great, Great, Great, Grandson of “Captain” John West the founder and namesake of Westport, Oregon. He is the past Director of the Oregon Historical Society and the Clatsop County Historical Society. Jim and his wife Janet are lifetime members of the Son and Daughter of Oregon Pioneers.  He has published two Oregon-based historical books, written six historical journal articles for the Clatsop County Historical Society, and given multiple public lectures on the company towns of Clatsop County.
