Carol Lauritzen

Carol Lauritzen is a Professor Emerita from Eastern Oregon University in La Grande. Carol grew up on a farm in north central Nebraska and attended a one-room school through eighth grade. She has a B. A. from the University of Nebraska. Her M.A. and Ph.D. are from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Her publications include Integrating Learning Through Story: The Narrative Curriculum, Memoirs of Thaddeus S. C. Lowe: My Balloons in Peace and War and Portrait of a One-Room School as well as many articles in the field of literacy. She is a community advocate for lifelong learning and literacy. Carol also enjoys hiking, restoring native plants, folk dancing and playing the piano.
