Sheri King

Sheri King has lived in Yamhill County since 2007 when she and her family moved to Lafayette.  A few years after her arrival there, she began writing historical articles for a community website and while researching Lafayette's past, realized there was little to show for the town's rich history.  With support from the city administrator and council, Sheri applied for two state historical markers and was present to see both placed in Lafayette.  She wrote a self-published book using the research from her applications. She's also been a regular contributor to the Yamhill County Historical Society's newsletter, of which group she's been volunteering with since 2016. She is currently a tour guide for the only U.S. presidential historical museum in Oregon which is in Yamhill County.
