Alisha Hamel
LTC (Ret.) Alisha Hamel is at least a fourth-generation Oregon and Army veteran of Desert Storm. She deployed with the first Oregon National Guard unit since WWII and the first with females. She was assigned as the Oregon National Guard Special Projects Officer for the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial and helped to create a successful Lewis and Clark presentation for schools giving 1000s of Oregon history presentations. She has written numerous magazine articles, books and documentaries on military history of which most have an Oregon connection. She retired from the Army in 2017.
